Macbook Pro M2 stuck on the lock screen even after entering the right password!

All of a sudden, I was unable to unlock my macbook m2 pro (running Sonoma 14.2.1)

I tried all possible methods, like reinstalling MacOS from the startup options menu, and used the first aid on all volumes and containers using the Disk Utility option while in recovery mode.

Please help me with other things I can try.
