Was trying to map a network drive NAS on Mac, but it pops out this message, how to fix this issue?

Mac Studio issues with NAS (Synology) On-going issues since I received the Mac Studio. I opened a case with Apple, and they are ignoring me and deflecting. Background I have 2 Mac Mini, 2 iMacs and 2 MacBook Pros. One of the MacBooks is a M1, the rest are Intel. I also have a number of Linux machines, and Windows Machines. Also iPads and iPhones. They are set to SMB Max SMB Protocol = SMB3 Min SMB = SMB1 {This is needed for a Linux Machine) Transport Enc = Client Define Enable server sign = disable Enable Opportunistic locking on Enable SMB2 lease on no WINS server Enable VFS module to convert Mac Special characters enabled. Apple support handed me to Synology, who asked for logs and never replied. Called Apple back no response. This was a take the Mac Mini OUT, put the Studio in. All other Apple, Windows, and Linux machines are working fine with NAS(s). There are three NAS all can not be consistently connected to. Is ANYONE ELSE seeing this?

NAS not allowing additional users? Running Big Sur on iMac with Buffalo LinkStation LS210 network attached storage (NAS) for my home. This NAS has always been troublesome about staying active on the network. Recent outages meant I had to restart it, and reconnect it to the network, but Finder did not automatically mount it. I used Finder Connect to Server but no NAS device found on the network. Used IP Scanner app to scan network: IP Scanner finds and pings the NAS, and reports the IP address. I used the IP address in Connect to Server to map the NAS. When trying to map using https:// Finder says "This file server will not allow any additional users to log in." When trying to map using smb:// Finder says "The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time." This exact problem is in Apple Support for an older OS, and the comments say that OS changes have affected the process but give no details. Suspect there is a plist or some such file which can be deleted to allow the NAS a fresh start, but I cannot find any info about which file that might be.

I'm experiencing the same problem trying to mount an NFS volume.

The volume can be mounted without problems by another client on Linux.

However I was able to successfully mount it from the terminal, as root:

$ sudo -i
# mkdir /Volumes/Whatever
# mount -t nfs servername:/sharename /Volumes/Whatever

Clearly there is something in the way the client gets invoked in the GUI.

192.228.0.251 is a public (ie routable) IP address and resolves to fireserve.net. Why are you trying to map a public address as a network drive on your local network? Check the IP address you've been given to do this with because I don't think it's this one unless you know different?
