Service not working after IOS 17.3.1 update

Hi, I have an iPhone 12, that had just automatically updated to IOS 17.3.1 over night. I wake up, and suddenly my phone does not want to connect to my service provider. I tried: powering my phone on/off, turning the airplane mode on/off, taking out the sim card and putting it back. But nothing works, now im stuck with my phone unable to make calls, or connect to mobile data. Anyone got a clue on how to fix this issue? Thanks

Hi we have the same problem here, an iPhone 12 mini, an update was performed overnight and in the morning could not connect to the mobile network. I chatted with apple support, there I then performed a diagnostic on the phone and from that they could determine that my device ( the module for the mobile network) was defective. I could have it repaired but they said it might be better to buy a new device?????

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Cellular Service issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors.

Same thing happened with me I updated my iPhone to iOS 17.3.1 and now I have cellular and WiFi problem I can make calls and text but I couldn’t connect to the internet at all I called apple support and they said I have to go to the Apple Store and they said my phone is old for the update and it’s better to change it which is not logic if they made an update it should work on most iPhones at least the last few generations YOU SHOULD’T force people to buy the new iPhone with this indirect way
