iCloud shared albums delete all my files in a second

Hi,

I changed my shared album address to one of my local folders because I didn't want my C disk to get full, but after doing that it deleted all my original local files in that E disk and occupied the space. Now everything, my software, my photos in the past 5 years, are all gone.

I need to know if there is a way to retrieve my files. Thank you.

Also, maybe I'm not careful enough but I really think it is easy enough to add an alert when something like this will happen.
