Spoken Content Freezing up - Siri Voice 5 deletes

I use the Accessibility feature, Spoken Content, every day. I'm on Sonoma 14.2.1. The voice worked very well in Mac OS 13, although the highlighting of the text never worked correctly. Starting with Mac OS 14, the voices changed their sound. They now will freeze up after a sentence or two and pause 5-10 seconds. It will usually continue, but sometimes it doesn't and needs to be stopped and then started again. The worst is that in the settings, you can change the voices. I change it to Siri Voice 5. That seems to sound the most natural. The Siri voice 5 deletes every night, and I have to re-download it. I used to have the feature turned on to Optimize my storage. I thought that may have been deleting the voice. Logic would dictate that since I use it daily, it shouldn't be deleted. But, I download it every day and it works again, but with the glitches listed. I have turned off the feature to optimize my storage in hopes the voice will stay. It's been several days and the voice still deletes itself.
