CHANGE APFS FORMAT TO OTHER FORMATS LIKE exFAT

Hello

I formatted a Seagate hard drive to APFS, but Windows does not read it, and now I want to change its format, but there is no other format than APFS.

please guide me

Mount the drive and in Disk Utility select its principal drive name in the left margin and choose Erase. Select exFAT. There is no changing a drive format from APFS to exFAT without wiping the entire drive and losing what is already on it.

Hey there bud, if you are running one of the latest macOS releases, you will need to Delete the APFS format first to reformat it to other format options; Open DiskUtily, then select the drive you want, then right-click, select Delete APFS, click on ok/allow/continue, then when it's done with that, right click on the drive again, it should go back to the original drive name from the manufacturer, then right click, click Erase drive, then pick the format you want.
