Functionality of "distribute" function

Hello everyone,

I'm struggling with distributing objects in Keynote. Keynote focuses on aligning objects based on their centers, which leads to unequal spacing when objects have varying sizes.

However, in my opinion, aligning objects such that the distance between their edges is equal is frequently more practical, as evidenced by the functionality found in PowerPoint, Figma, Sketch, among others.

How can it be that such a basic and important feature is not included in Keynote?
