Paramount Plus suddenly charging for content, despite subscription through Apple TV

Today suddenly the Apple TV app on our Samsung TV went from letting us watch content on Paramount Plus to showing that we need to purchase the content, even though we have a subscription. Logged out of Apple TV and back in again, which did not help. Same problem if you bring up the Apple TV app on a mobile device.


Confirmed that we are subscribed in settings. We can’t even continue watching a show on Paramount that we started earlier today. It’s now $2.99.


Not happening with other Apple TV subscribed channels. Just Paramount.

I just found this page while trying to google a fix. Go here and sign into your apple account. Once signed in, you will be prompted to create a paramount plus account. paramountplus.com/apple


Props to apple and/or paramount for the pro-active communication regarding this random change. (Sarcasm)

Also to me - Paramount + content such as items that we previously viewed disappeared from the Apple TV screen. And other content that we have previously viewed now wants to charge. All of the CBS content is gone also. Not the first time this has happened either. Guess someone uploaded the wrong batch file and a plethora of viewers are now watching for free without paying while paying customers no longer have access. In previous incidents access was restored in a few days.
