Sim Card issue after ios 17 update. Cellular Option Unavailable
I updated my iPhone XR to ios 17.3 this past Friday and later in the day my phone started reading that there was no sim card and has been stuck on SOS since.
I went by my carrier (Verizon) and got a replacement sim card but that still didn't work. I reset network setting, and reset all settings but that didn't work either.
I also went by the apple store and they couldn't get it working. They ran a diagnostics to see what was wrong. It said that the esim module was not found, but that there wasn't any issues with the physical sim.
The vexing thing about this is that accessing my cellular options in settings is completely greyed out. It just says "No Sim" but it won't even let me click on that to open and see what's going on. Both Verizon and the Apple store had the same issue.
Maybe some hardware is broken in my phone, but I'm convinced it's something with the new update. I never had any previous issues. Never set up the esim before either because, again, I had no issues.
Now I can't even access my cellular options to see what the issue is, or how I can fix it. Do I just need to do a complete reset from factory settings?
