Anybody else not able to unlock Mac with watch after 14.3 Mac & 10.3 watch updates?

I switched it off and on on my Mac and rebooted. After signing in by hand, I waited and tested it. "Unlocking with Apple Watch" showed up momentarily, and then switched to "Touch ID or Enter Password".

Apple Watch no longer unlocks Mac Got my brand spanking new Apple Watch Series 8 on Friday the 16th. I of course promptly set it up and everything is going as it's supposed to go, except for one thing: It no longer unlocks my Mac (Monterey 12.6). Nothings changed on my Mac - it unlocked with my Apple Watch Series 6 just fine all the way up until I switched to the 8. Now, it doesn't even try, as if the feature no longer exists. It's still enabled in settings on the Mac, again - I didn't change anything. This happening to anyone else? I was thinking it must be the watch OS, but my series 6 was updated to watch OS 9, the most current, and it worked just fine. The Google Machine is not revealing anything on a search...(unless this is happening to just me!!) Help!! Thanks all!

Apple Watch won't unlock Mac after iOS 18/macOS Sequoia upgrade MacBook Air M1 2020, macOS 15 (Sequoia) Apple Watch 7, watchOS 11 iPhone 13 mini, iOS 18 Today I upgraded to the latest software and my Apple Watch stopped unlocking my MacBook Air. When I check the settings on my Mac, it was disabled. When I tried reenabling, I get the error: Your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch. Make sure your Apple Watch is unlocked, on your wrist, and powered on. The watch is unlocked, on my wrist and powered on. This has been working just fine until I upgraded today.

I just have to go through the same old process of turning off the unlock feature, turning Mac and Watch off, turning them on, and turning the unlock feature back on.

My iMac unlocks fine with the watch. Brand new 16" MBP does not. Just as explained, "Unlocking with Apple Watch" shows up briefly and then is replaced with "Touch ID or Enter Password".

Same here, I just hit the touch ID, because that's way to much to have to do everytime. I don't understand why the iMac works and the MBP doesn't with the same OS.
