World Clock Widget not updating on Mac

Yes, I have seen this on other questions - but the answer was always something different.

My widget shows the default Cupertino, Tokyo, Sydney and Paris.

I changed it to San Diego, Boise, Houston and New York. And they all show up IF I click on the widget to bring up the full thing - but I want to just glance at the widget and have it be the ones I want. I tried restarting - and the default cities are all that shows up.

Do I really have to click on it to see the cities I actually want??

Am I really the only one with this issue? :(

I just found the solution to this problem. Right click the widget to find Edit "Clock". There you will find the 4 zones appear as a list. You can now click on each city (e.g Cupertino) to change it according to what you would like to see.

This is a very different flow compared to clicking the whole widget and opening up the world map.

A very bad UX from Apple and not very intuitive.
