songs that i own on my iphone say that the song is not available in my country

i own music that was purchased thru itunes a few years ago. suddenly some of the songs say that they are not available in my country. i do not understand this, these songs are not streamed they are downloaded onto my iphone and i literally own them.

This song not available in your country or region I uploaded my music library to Music iCloud and I have an Apple Music subscription, but some of the songs from my personal library are not available and I get the above notice. What is going on?

song is not currently available in your country or region iphone 16 This is one of the reasons that I have never subscribed to apple music. Every time I get a new phone, songs get "grayed out" and I can not access them. This has happened since 2008 or 09. So frustrating. Even when I have apple itune receipts for the songs! Anyway, the new message is "song is not currently available in your country or region." My country listed in my phone is United States, so not sure why, again, Apple is taking away music that I have purchased. I have the music on 2 macs and my old iphone. Argh!! Any ideas for a fix?
