Why does my Apple TV keep turning on and off?

Our Apple TV has been working perfectly until recently. We have changed the hdmi cord and changed the port and updated all software. While the system is on, it will randomly turn off. Sometimes The menu screen will pop up on the side like someone is using the remote to turn it off. Then it will turn itself back on. The tv itself is not turning off, only the Apple TV box. There is no consistency. Sometimes goes hours without trouble and sometimes circles through on and off within seconds. Please help!!

I've been having the same issue. I think it may be related to the new update. Came here to see if anyone was having the same problem. I've reset multiple times and it hasn't helped.

I’ve started having this exact same issue which started today. It started randomly without any changes in power, HDMI, or updates. The menu pops up like someone is using the remote then the display goes away. The power light goes out. It eventually turns itself back on and comes back to where it was in whatever app or show we were watching. No rhyme or reason and no consistency between powering off and back on. It is fully up to date and restarting doesn’t help and neither does unplugging it and plugging it back in.
