transfer from PC to Mac

downloaded Migration Assistant to PC. Shows download complete. Open file and sends me to window with option to repair or remove. Have done the repair several times yet still at that point. The PC is HP running windows 10 version 22H2. Cannot upgrade to Windows 11. Any help?

Win 10 migration to brand new M1 Pro MBP 14" I am trying... I've been a windows person since 3.1 and finally decided to make the switch to Apple. Problems! Using 12.2.2 and downloaded the appropriate migration program. Installed it and BAM "an error occurred while preparing your information for transfer." OK, delete 2.4.0.0 and download 2.3.1.0 which is for the previous version of Mac OS. It will almost work because it gets farther than 2.4.0.0, but not quite because it is not the latest version (2.4.0.0) of Mac OS. I really, really want this computer to work, but after a week, I'm not making the progress I think I should, and it's frustrating me. All I really want to do is transfer all my files from Win 10 to Mac. I've been thinking about Genius Bar but that's 45 miles away. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Help!
