What do I do if Apple won’t accept the payment method that I’ve been using for years?

I’ve been using the same credit card for years, and all of a sudden, Apple is telling me that it isn’t valid even though I use this card for every day payments. I’m not sure why they aren’t letting me use it anymore

Does it have to do with an expired date on a card that isn't expired?


If so, this appears to be a common problem that many folks are experiencing. Apple is aware, but hasn't been able to resolve the issue.


Some folks report that they have added a second payment method, such as PayPal or a different credit card. That allows them to remove the problem credit card. They have then been able to add the card they removed back into their account details and there appear to be no more issues with that card.
