how to remove 'an older version of this document is available' in files when editing a pdf?

I’m editing a pdf in Files on my iPad. Every time I leave it to go to another app even on split screen this same pop up arrives on my screen. I then press ‘x’ to remove but it pops up again when I press on the screen to edit. Does anyone know how to remove it permanently?

(1) Go to where your PDF is saved in Files App (don’t open the PDF file);

(2) long-press the PDF file until a pop-up menu shows up;

(3) choose “Get Info” in the pop-up menu;

(4) the Get Info window will display (the very top): the name of the file; the extension of the file (PDF) and its size; and the location of the original PDF.

(5) Long-press on the location of the original PDF and choose “Remove” in the pop-up window that will show up.

That’s it!

Doing that will not delete the source of the original PDF File, but will stop the notification from showing up when you open that PDF file.

Thank you for the answer. It is very annoying, every document saved from an email, gives you this erroneous message. There’s still only one version of the document. Just because you wanna save a copy so you don’t lose the document when the email gets deleted. You need to see this message for infinity, unless you happen to know this little bit of information that you have to perform this function on every single document that is saved from an email.
