How to adjust Brightness Settings on iPhone

When changing brightness using brightness slider from control panel(after a very long time), slider shows a glitch which causes brightness to flicker on iPhone14

I am using iPhone 14 on ios 17.2.1

Device is on auto-brightness mode,

when i adjust the brightness from control center using brightness slider after a very long time(like may be after 3 hours), the slider suddenly shows a glitch(i.e., slider animation is not smooth) causing the brightness of the device to show a slight flicker.

You can try it once, but change the brightness of the device slowly.

Hey, please forward this to apple software team and please don’t reply with this **** message again. We also know these steps. We just want a fix, after buying $1200 phone we still need to look for solutions on forums. I upgraded from android to ios for stability and haven’t received best stable ios update till now.

Every update brings new bugs.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this:

  1. A simple restart can often resolve temporary glitches. Hold down the power button and swipe to power off. After a few seconds, turn it back on.
  2. Sometimes conflicts with the auto-brightness feature can cause erratic behavior. Try turning off auto-brightness in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness and manually adjust the brightness to see if the issue persists.
  3. Ensure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version available. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for and install any available updates.
  4. If the issue persists, you might consider resetting your iPhone's settings. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset All Settings. This won’t erase your data but will reset system settings to default.
