AirPods don’t work with Apple Watch

I have a cellular plan with my Apple Watch. When I go out without my iPhone and try to stream or listen to music on my 2nd Gen AirPods Pro I (think I) have downloaded I get a few seconds of clarity then the sound breaks up and is unintelligible. There is no issue with my AirPods when connected to my phone. Or when controlling the sound through my Apple Watch when my iPhone is with the watch.

I have reset the AirPods.

Does this happen everywhere you go every single time? Have you tried streaming from your phone in these same locations (ever I mean…I know you’re saying this is occurring when you don’t have your phone but if the issue occurs in those same locations with your phone it’s possible the problem is related to your carrier service and its signal in certain locations). Verify you do have downloaded to the watch songs that still do this. Try unpairing your AirPods and then pairing them again. It seems less likely an issue with your AirPods since the issue doesn’t occur with phone and maybe something with your watch (carrier signal or something else). If it’s not your carrier and if unpairing your AirPods or hard resetting your Apple Watch don’t seem to help then you may need to contact Apple support directly for further assistance
