Lock screen on iPhone 15 Pro Max is not registering touch

Whenever my iPhone 15 pro max is on the lock screen, and I’m trying to enter the passcode to unlock the phone, the digits do not register.

I would select a number and the phone would erase it, so I have to keep selecting it until the phone accepts it. Sometimes I end up pressing one key eight times before that circle remains filled.

Is anyone else having this issue? Does ios need a software update just to deal with these bugs? It’s taking me a frustrating amount of time to unlock my phone.

Once I’m inside the unlocked phone, I don’t have that issue again. Whether I have to input my passcode for Apple Pay, to gain access to passwords, or to change the passcode, the phone does not give me that issue again.

it also does not show the numbers that I’m tapping. It’s the regular filled circle. I literally just got this brand new model, two months ago, how can it be failing?
