3 months free subscription of Apple TV+ on my iPhone

I had purchased an Iphone 15 in India and am eligible for 3 months free subscription of Apple TV+. But when I click on the "accept 3 months free tab", it takes me to a payment verification link where the debit amount is that of the monthly payment of Rs 99. I understand if Rs 5 or Rs 10 is taken to test the verification of future auto payments , but here the debit mandate is set immediately to the present month, instead of three months later. So then , effectively there are no free three months.

PS : I am eligible to receive this offer.

Can anyone help ? Thanks in advance

Users that start a subscription will need to pre-authorize a payment method for future payments. But the first fee charge should happen after any free trial. The offer is for new subscribers that haven’t tried Apple TV+ before. Buying more devices will not give users more free trials. Redeem on the new qualifying Apple device, not on a different device.
