Apple Support for Intel based Macs

I purchased my MacBook Pro with the intel chip ( AMD radeon pro 5500) in January of 2021. It works perfectly fine but I have noticed a decrease in the support for the apps and softwares for these Mac's.

Adobe Lightroom just informed me that my graphics card is no longer supported moving forward with the new software versions.

My MacBook was $4,000. It's barely 2 1/2 years old and im steadily being forced into purchasing a newer MacBook but I absolutely can not afford it.

I use my MacBook for work every single day.

Does anyone else have this issue and what have you done to try and over come this or is everyone just installing the old versions of these apps?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.2

Software and hardware requirements/compatibilities are always changing...

I have noticed no issue... with Intel 2019 16" MBP

but I don't use Adobe Lightroom, I am sure there are alternatives.

Hard to believe Adobe Lightroom would dump you— maybe a warning that you can update no further your version of Adobe Lightroom— I don't know.

If it is not an issue, then I would not spend any time worrying about.

Tell it to Adobe:

Your Mac can still do every task it could on the day you took it out of the box, and likely quite a lot more, since Apple has provided some newer versions of MacOS for you, FREE!

if it does not meet your current needs, it is not that the computer has deteriorated, it is that your needs have EXPANDED.

Your EXPANDED needs may require different hardware or software, available at extra cost.
