Iphone 13 mini has “ Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is a genuine Apple part.” message but the battery is genuine

The phone is getting the “Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is a genuine Apple part” message and can’t be charged anymore. The phone was bought new from T Mobile and nothing was ever done to the phone. The battery was working perfectly before the message suddenly appeared. I wiped the phone to make an exchange, and it started to work just fine. As soon as I restored from backup, I got the message again and the phone won’t charge. The software is up to date 17.1.2. I don’t know what are my options now. I am afraid that even if I get a replacement phone, it will still give me the same error once I restore from backup.

Mine is a 15Pro. It was working fine earlier in the day (I did not check the charge, but always charge it overnight to 80% and did this last night) as we were listening to CarPlay. Later in the day I pulled it out of my phone pocket and it did not come on. Plugged it in and it just kept cycling through the Apple icon. If you were lucky and could catch a time when the home screen actually appeared - you could detect the message "Unable to determine if your iPhone battery is genuine apple part…”. It has never had anything done to it. Also, I’ve had the most problems with this upgrade (went from Xs to 15P in November) as my notifications have been wonky and I could not pair my Apple Watch 3 (but could my AW7).

Responding to ask if you got your issue resolved? (I have an appointment tomorrow.)

Thanks.
