Remotes for apple TV that change channels

My cable company, Charter Spectrum, up charged their cable boxes so I went with their streaming service to save money. I was really hoping the Apple TV would be a good alternative, and it works great, but changing channels is a bit of a hassle. I've been having to navigate through the guide in both the Spectrum and Pluto app just to change the channel. I bought a universal remote which I thought would help, but the buttons labeled "CH" just rewinds / fast forwards my current program. I'm not sure if maybe I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone recommend me a good remote that actually lets me change the channel in streaming apps if such a thing exists?
