Can Not Authorize MacBook

Trying to read my books on my MacBook but it says it’s not authorized. It’s not listed in authorized computers and I have clicked deauthorize all and restarted my MacBook. There’s no Authorize button

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.1

1 - Open the Music app on your Mac.

2 - Look at the menu bar (very top of your screen )

3 - The menu bar will look like the following from my earlier post (i.e, Apple icon then Music then File etc.

4 - Click on "Account" in that menu bar.

5 - The click "Authorize This Computer" as shown in the screenshot above.

For authorization instructions, see the following from: Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support

How to authorize or deauthorize your Mac

  1. Open the Apple Music app or Apple TV app. In the menu bar, choose Account and make sure that you're signed in with your Apple ID.
  2. Choose Account > Authorizations, then choose Authorize This Computer or Deauthorize This Computer.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password. Forgot your Apple ID?
  4. Click Authorize or Deauthorize.

It is still accurate on mine running macOS 14.1.2.

My menu looks slightly different that the one on the screenshot in my previous post as I am not subscribed to Apple Music. I have fewer menu choices but "Authorizations" is on my Music app Account menu just below "Join Apple Music."

Can you provide more information than "no longer seems to be accurate"? What is inaccurate?
