How can I delete unnecessary Calendar time zones?

I am using it - all working - loving it - EXCEPT - I have about ten different zones now listed in my drop down that comes up when I enable time zone support. I can add time zones - but how do I remove them - doesn't seem to be an option?

Bonus question ... is there a way to re order the list ... and maybe even rename some of the items.

I am guessing this is a list somewhere - but which one?

I am using OSX 17.1

Many thanks

I don't know of any built-in method, but there's a way.

Select your own time zone and quit Calendar.

Launch Terminal and paste the following line, followed by the Enter key.

defaults delete com.apple.ical RecentlyUsedTimeZones

You will loose all time zones you've set. Add them back in the reverse order you want them to appear (i.e. new ones are added at the top).
