Why has apple made a change to the way editing of text and messages is done? In the past you could easily insert text between words. Now it highlights the entire adjacent word (s) and the word is either deleted when you go to insert or change a word and/or error. Super annoying apple. Why have you made this annoying change?

Try pressing and holding on the space bar and then moving your finger around the keyboard - this moves the insertion point (cursor) and you may find this an easier way of inserting text wherever you want.
Incidentally, we fellow users here have no inside knowledge of why Apple makes changes to any features of iOS.
