Voice recognition issues.

Did the latest software update, 17.1.1, change something in the voice recognition software? Mine is not functioning properly. It hears me, but the voice to text is wrong. I’m on the English setting.

Automatic voice change based on language with voice over. I am Blind and using voiceover. When I get a message with text in Tamil, voiceover does not reading the Tamil text, while it read for other languages. All language and voice settings are properly configured. Voice to text FAIL With all of the technology and talent at Apple, how in the actual hell is it possible for voice to text to be so so terrible? It actually got worse! In fact, it’s gotten worse with every update! Does Apple not have anyone in programming who understands basic English grammar? I’m truly asking out of dismay. I really don’t understand how it has actually gotten worse.

I am speaking with a heavy foreign accent, and for many years "call mom" was the only voice command recognized by my phone.

Then about 4 years ago it underwent a drastic improvement: my phone can recognize practically any name in my contact list.

And now it is back to the horrible: I say "call leena" and it dials Linda, not speaking about more complicated issues.
