My iMessages are now showing a read receipt when that’s turned off. 17.1.1 update and one before that. Any resolve ??
Have been experiencing same issue. Tried: turn on/off read receipt setting; turn on/off iMessage; force restart. No luck.
Could be some bug not completely fixed from long ago(https://9to5mac.com/2022/01/06/messages-read-receipts-bug/).
Hi. I found out what happened. Under each contact in iMessage , if you click on persons name there is a separate option to toggle on or off read receipts. Which could be something new I don’t know. Under some contacts it was toggled on when I never even knew that second on option was there under a contacts name. So under your IMessages click on name. You will see option to turn on read receipts and turn off. Hope that helps. I think i need a tutorial in this 17.1 updates. Me not likey many things 😒
