I have an Iphone pro 15 running ios 17.1.1 and I am having an issue where I text a contact and the contact disappears as soon as the text is sent.
These are contacts I have had for years. The text history and attachments remain, but it just shows as the phone number and not the contact name.
The contact name still shows on my iPad in the messages app, but just shows the number on my MacBook, and iPhone. Icloud has no contact for the number.

iPhone 14 Pro Max - updated to the latest iOS and all of my existing contacts are showing just their phone number but their photo (if they have one) shows. I restarted my phone and named and photos show for all. New texts have the same problem, they do not show their info…HELP!!!
