losing contact names in text messages on iPhone 14 Pro

All of a sudden about half of my contact names no longer show in text messages

Please help on the fix. I toggled "Contacts" on and off and did the same with "Short Names".

Please help. Thanks much...

Contact names not showing in messages Out of the blue my contact names are not showing on several of my contacts in Messages. I can find them when I type their name in the To field but then once sent it only shows their phone number. Did all the fixes I found online and updated phone software. Anyone else and any solution?

Iphone contacts disappearing 17.1.1 I have an Iphone pro 15 running ios 17.1.1 and I am having an issue where I text a contact and the contact disappears as soon as the text is sent. These are contacts I have had for years. The text history and attachments remain, but it just shows as the phone number and not the contact name. The contact name still shows on my iPad in the messages app, but just shows the number on my MacBook, and iPhone. Icloud has no contact for the number.
