I am unable to reset my iphone as it is security lock

Resources to use: If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen, If you forgot your iPhone passcode

How to resolve:

• You will need to use the “Erase iPhone” option that should appear on the Lock Screen while it is in Security Lockout.
• You will need to confirm your Apple ID & password in order to proceed with erasing the iPhone. After it erases, it will restart on the setup assistant and you can proceed with setting it up.
• You will also have to re-enter your Apple ID password to proceed with disabling Activation Lock and continuing the Setup Assistant.

If you are unable to use this option and/or you do not know your Apple ID password:

• You will need to use a Mac or PC to restore your iPhone to factory settings and erase the passcode.
• You will still need to know your Apple ID credentials to disable activation lock once the iPhone has been restored.
• Try to regain access to your Apple ID before your iPhone is done restoring, so you can sign in and continue setting it up. Use If you forgot your Apple ID password.

If you have already tried erasing your iPhone on the Lock Screen, and you are still stuck in Security Lockout or iPhone Unavailable:

• You will need to restore your iPhone using a Mac or PC by following the instructions found in If you forgot your iPhone passcode.

Unfortunately, it it too late to unlock the phone. You will have reset / erase the phone and set it up again. Hopefully, you have a recent backup that you can use to restore back to the phone.
