Why has my contacts background changed to grey after update to 17?

I hate this change. I have 1500 contacts. I’m not going to change them all manually! Why can’t I have the same colour background for all contacts anymore?! & why can’t I just change one setting to take it back to how it was, if that’s what I prefer? Why have they forced this change on us & we can’t have our phone set up how we choose?! That’s meant to be the beauty of iPhone, that you have so much choice. But simple isn’t a choice anymore & I’m getting really fed up with it now. Why are they all different colours now on the ones who have pics & this awful wishy-washy light grey/white for any others. I’m going to have to downgrade back to the old version now, & so I won’t have any new updated security settings. This isn’t fair, I cannot deal with this. Why aren’t we given the option to have them all the same or this ridiculous new way?! & why can’t I just press a button to have it set out, how I want it set out? It’s my phone, if I want it fancy I can - if I want it simple, I should be able to. We’re not all computer programmers. It’s like they’re just trying to make changes for the sake of making changes, or to show they’re doing stuff.. but this is getting a joke now. Why can’t there be an option to have settings that suit fancy computer programmers & settings to suit people who just want a simple layout..? Getting really fed up of this constant changing of stuff that’s totally unnecessary. It’s just confusing for mere mortals! Sort it out Apple!

Yes it's the new default colour in IOS 17, you can change and customise it tapping on Contact photo&Poster

I have over 6000 contacts. How can I do it as a Mas setting there is no way I can do this one by one.

One by one. Or, learn to live with it.
