Sonoma 14.1.1 Update and MacMini Sound Loss

I recently updated my Mac Mini (3 Ghz 6-Core Intel Core i5 chip) for the latest Sonoma 14.1.1 version. Everything so far is working properly except the "sound" bar is grayed out. The software no longer gives an option for output from the Mac Mini and is only recognizing my old Dell monitors (which don't even have speakers). I've tried restarting / rebooting but nothing has worked to recover the sound output. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Reinstall the macOS:

Go Here: How to Reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple SupportImportant: Be certain to create a backup of your Mac prior to all of this. That way, you can have something to restore from the Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Once reinstalled, try this once more.
