I think there is a fraud Apple Card account in my name ? Help

Got an alert from Experian saying my Apple Card / GS Bank Card is now Active / I don’t have one ! Quite Confusing …. Reads balance of $1,682.55 with $8,317.45 Available…, what the heck?

1) I suggest FREEZING all 3 credit bureaus so no one can add to this. If this turns out to be an identity theft, it may not be the last thing.

2) visit your local police station and file a fraud report - youll need this later and to document; I believe it must be done in person becuase you'll show them ID, they file a report of the possible identity theft;

3) Contact Goldman Sachs (the bank for Apple Care): ask to speak to a specialist for the Apple Card that someone opened one fraudulently in your name.

4) file a dispute with Experian that it isn't yours

5)place fraud alerts on all three credit bureaus (you'll need the police report for this)

6) pull copies of all 3 credit bureaus and go through them. Look for anything else you don't know about. You can get these for free in this situation

7) extre precaution: notify your bank so they can notate your account

8) change your passwords to your computers, email accounts, and bank institutions you bank online. (set up two factor authentication if you haven't already)

Good luck! I've had to do this before. It's worth doing it.
