I just purchased a new Mac Mini M2 Pro and I own Logic but it does not show me an update for 10.8 in the App Store. I am running Ventura 13.6.1 and Logic 10.7.9. Why is there no update for me?

This works perfectly try this: In the Mac App Store, on the Updates page, press command + r it refreshes the updates and looks for new ones. Same keys as refreshing a web page in Safari ( Credit: Bradders, Reddit)

What do you mean "you found it"? Can you elaborate how? Supposedly it runs on Ventura which is what I currently have yet it's not showing up in the App Store as an update for me either. Someone here said if your OS isn't up to date then you can't update Logic - is that really true? Even if it runs on Ventura, now that Sonoma is out I can't install 10.8 unless I update to Sonoma? That doesn't make any sense if so...
If your OS is not up to date, you will not have the luxury of updating your logic. A little advice would be to backup your computer before you update incase you realize some of your plugins aren't working or midi keyboard if you use one. Backup would be your bestfriend in that type of situation. Goodluck I hope everything works out for you.

That's what I'm saying – I have Ventura and the update isn't appearing even when I refresh the App Store.
