Ipad Mini 6 Battery drain while turned off

My iPad Mini 6 seems to drain the battery quite fast while it is turned off. I have kept it updated but no change. If it sets for a week sometimes it is totally dead. I charged it yesterday, turned it off and this morning it is already down to 88%. I also have an iPad Air and it holds the charge easily for a month. What's going on?

Apple don’t have a diagnostic for checking internal discharge. It is why I wrote the user tip.

A battery on 50% charge should stay charged in storage for 3 months at least. Losing 10% a night indicates a faulty battery, or very rarely a short circuit in the device

Ok, I made a Genius Bar appointment and they checked it out and said it was normal 😡 He told me that because it is a smaller device it will drain the battery faster. NOT ACCEPTABLE! He had me do a reset on the iPad even though I already did that earlier. I will charge it up to 100% tonight and check it tomorrow. If it still does it I will ask for a refund. Losing more than 10% of the battery charge overnight with the iPad off is unacceptable!!!!
