I see from various discussions that for no apparent reason, most Apple Watches (I have a Series 6) can't display steps as a complication using any of the official Apple faces. I see that people have suggested that one could get this display via 3rd party app, but I don't know of one. Has anyone any suggestions?

I'm answering my own question - several of the Pedometer-style iPhone apps have free Watch versions that can be used in Complications. Some are even free (e.g Pedometer). I found this by searching or 'steps' in the App Store. Looks like that all I need.
