Volume Rockers Not Working inside WhatsApp Application

I am facing issue in my iphone 11, running iOS 17.1. Issue is that volume rocker buttons not working when inside WhatsApp application. This happens quite a few times and only rarely it works. My phone buttons are functioning Ok in all other apps and also on Home Screen. Seems like an issue in WhatsApp app only. Anyone else facing similar issue?
