Apple SSD dead

I have a MacBook Pro model A1707 EMC 3072 and its Apple ssd is dead. I want to fix it by instaling Mac OS siërra in a other ssd but let Apple ssd be the only one that pops up in de disk select menu. How can I get more disks to download Mac OS on?

¿what is the date of your most recent backup, and by what method?

The internal drive is soldered in place and not replaceable, so a failure takes out all your files.

These 2016 to 2017 15-in models do not have a T2 chip, so you could switch to an external drive, but that limits portability.
