iPad Pro not utilizing external camera plugged in with adapter?

I have an external camera that I want to use to get around the centre stage movement on remote meetings. IT is a plug and play one, no software needed. My iPad Pro is up to date with IOS 17.0.3 version. When I plug it in, the Teams platform I use accepts the audio for the external camera but not the video - this remains firmly with the iPad and the same centre stage problem. No options for me to change. Is there a particular adaptor that I need for the visual as well as the audio? I have a standard USB to USC adaptor. Thanks!
