Based on Personal Experience:
A. Why the Wait for Apple Support:
I don’t know if it’s in regards to the subject of “Apple Account”. But, selecting that, it usually blows your question away informing you to contact them manually(by phone).
B. If you have AppleCare:
I don’t not if it should be the case, but I notice when I need help with something that is not covered by AppleCare, it takes a bit longer to get through.
C. Chat About Something Else to Get Through:
Sometimes, if you bring up things about hardware, you won’t be blown off with a messaged telling you to take it upon yourself to contact Apple Support. So, make something up, and then seek assistance for what you actually need help woth.
