KEYNOTE, problem with subtracting text with a square shape

I'm trying to do something like this guy in power point here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fBp2iSx4RlY but when subtracted, image fills the entire text box, not only the letters

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.7

Transparent text can't be created in Keynote.

The workaround is to either use the method you referred to in PowerPoint then open the PowerPoint file in Keynote

or use an image editing application [Photoshop or Affinity Photo] then place the resultant image on the slide.
