At times (I suspect it coincides with other things not working properly on my Mac) calendar notifications (not events in the calendar) show up with vertical stripes. Looks strange. Notifications from other apps look normal.
What might be the cause?
How do I get rid of it?

Does this issue continue after you try restarting and updating your Mac?
To isolate this issue on your Mac, try the Calendar app when your Mac is in safe mode: Start up your Mac in safe mode.
Please reply back with the results.

Neither of these solved the stripe problem. Does not happen on my Mac, just the laptop.
