delete an inactive e sim

I have no option to delete an inactive ( off) e sim. Switch to visible (carrier) all is good. I want to delete previous carrier e sim but there is NO option to delete. The e sims are accessible via settings, cellular.

Thank you for the reply. The information you provided gave me some insight. However, the problem remains. I will attempt to contact Apple support, see where that leads thanks to All, who tried to help.

Hi -gt,

The steps in the page If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network under "Reset your network settings" includes the following:

"This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before."

Note that this step would reset all cellular settings, not just for inactive eSIMs but also for active ones you may still need. If you use a physical SIM or have the information to reconfigure the eSIM from your carrier, this may be a viable step to remove that item.

Otherwise your best bet will be to contact Apple Support directly for assistance on this matter.

Regards.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities gt,

The information and steps may help:

You might need to erase your eSIM if:
* You transferred the eSIM's phone number to another iPhone
* You're going to sell, trade in, or give away your device
Don't erase your eSIM as a troubleshooting step unless directed to by your carrier.
If you erase your eSIM, you'll need to contact your carrier to get a new one. Then set up your new eSIM.
To erase your eSIM:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.
3. Tap the plan that you want to erase.
4. Tap Delete eSIM.
If you erase all content and settings from your iPhone, you can choose to erase your eSIM as well or keep it.
If you want to cancel your cellular plan, you still need to contact your carrier to cancel the plan.

How to erase the eSIM on your iPhone

Cheers!

Many thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. However, the issue is I do not have the option to delete the E sim. I previously reviewed the article that you sent. And again there’s no option to delete the inactive eSIM. Even if I make it active, there’s no option to delete the old EM. So the saga continues.

Same problem here. Multiple days ago, I got eSim activation messages from T-Mobile (US) to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I'm Austrian, by the way, so no way that this should have targeted me. After dismissing this messages multiple times, where they did come again every couple of hours, I tried to activate this eSim, since the senior apple advisor of my case told me that this is a known issue and the sim will not work anyway. Now I am stuck with a sim card in activation, that I cannot remove. Hurray, great!

What can I do now? This is and never was my eSim, I do have one that is bound to an Austrian network. How can I fix this and further more, block the annoying activation messages, I get all day long!
