Unable to delete an E-SIM from iPhone

I recently switched carriers and want to erase or delete the old eSIM from the old carrier, but it does not give the option to do that. The only eSIM it gives me the option to erase is the one from my current carrier, which I obviously don’t want to do. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Or has any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Temporary esim to my physical sim? How do I get to use my physical sim again, I travelled to US in the past 4 weeks I got an esim that side now I am back in SA my sim doesn’t show network and I have deleted the esim ?
