Volume keeps on going down by itself
i have an iphone 14 and everytime i open up my control center the volume goes all the way down to zero

This happened to me as well. If the volume keeps going down on your airpods, access the control center and hold down on volume when connected to airpods. Then turn off conversation awareness.
