Has anyone used guided access for dementia?

My person with dementia is struggling to use his phone Are there any features to simplify iPhone?

Guided Access locks the phone to 1 app only.

With iOS 17, Apple is including "Assistive Access", which gives you some options to reduce the number of accessible apps and give them bigger icons.
