Deleted Data in app moves to Files app

I was using a screen recording app and I decided to clear all the recordings within the app (approx. 50GB). Once I did so, the amount of storage used by that app went down but the storage used by the Files app went up the same amount (50GB).

I even deleted the original app and the files app still shows the same amount of storage used. I also attempted to shut down and turn back on my iPad to maybe clear the cache but it's no use either.

How could I clear up my storage?

When deleting files, they will initially be moved to the Recently Deleted folder - from which they can be recovered. Until deleted from the Recently Deleted folder, space will not be released.

The Recently Deleted folder can be accessed from the Files App sidebar.
