Complications showing on watch but missing from watch application

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 15 Pro, and I have an Apple Watch Ultra with Cellular through Verizon. I restored my watch from the most recent backup, and the actual watch face looks fine. However, when I go to the watch app to view my complications, some of them are missing as showing on the watch face, and I cannot select them in the complications section either.

They are all missing, but show correctly and function correctly on my watch. Additionally, I can edit them directly through my watch even though they don't show as available through my watch app on my phone.

Watch App screen on my iPhone. In this case, Carrot, Fitness and Outlook are missing.

Complications are missing from the selection screen on my iPhone watch app (in this example, Carrot is missing)

Complications show normally on my watch.

I don't really want to unpair and restore my watch. Last time it messed up my cellular and had to call verizon to force another activation and then I had two plans on my watch.

Also - If I do have to do this, what happens if I restore my most current backup? Am I backing up this same issue? If I go to an earlier back, I will lost all of my fitness and sleep data?

Thanks for any help all of you amazing people can provide!

Same problem here. Just started after I paired a replacement watch from Apple. Tech support has been no help and suggested mailing my new watch in for service. Silly and frustrating. All the complications show up fine on the watch but the app is a mess.

I remember seeing some reports that the Watch app on iPhone might fail to show complications in the Beta test builds, but they were working in the Apple Watch itself. That is exactly consistent with what you are reporting here so it is possible you have a Beta test build of the Watch app. Did you play in the pre-release beta?

Please make sure all beta tests are disabled, and check your software versions. If necessary update your iPhone and your Apple Watch (in that order, phone first). The current general release versions are iOS 17.0.3 and WatchOS 10.0.2. If you have anything lower please update. If you have anything higher like iOS 17.1 you have a Beta version we are not permitted to discuss in these support forums.

Hi. I have a 15PM and just purchased an Ultra 2. Been playing around with it today and noticed there were complications missing. Decided to google it an here we are. I am a BT running 17.2 (21C62), 10.2 on the watch. I will keeping going through the settings and seeing if I can figure it out and update as soon as something changes.

EDIT: Just looked through the details of 10.2, didn't realise I wasn't on it, one of the issues resolved is missing complications. Updating now.
