Brand new iPhone 15 Pro notifications at MAX volume even when notification volume is at lowest setting.

Brand new iPhone 15 Pro notifications at MAX volume even when notification volume is at the lowest setting. I have enabled side button volume control and even went through the annoying process of resetting all settings with no change in notification volume behavior. I am a developer and UX designer so I am certain this is not user error in any way. This has been going on for a week now and my only solution is to turn off all notification sounds, which is not an acceptable solution

This is exactly what's been happening to my 15 Pro. It's maddening. My tones and alerts are all of sync. Loud notification despite the volume toggle being turned all the way down. Conversely, I've missed calls because there is not ringer volume...even though the toggle is turned to the highest level.

I've tried all the resets. I even erased and reactivated my phone from saved iCloud backups and it still hasn't helped.

Has anyone had any luck with remedying this situation?

Thank you,

Nick

The same thing is happening to me on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is maddening. I also have a constant issue where my volume buttons won’t change the media volume unless I’m playing media. BTW my setting is to always change the media volume as I never change my notification volume unless it is to mute it. I had to setup shortcuts to change my volume. Which is also maddening since I have physical buttons to do that.

I’m also a Software Developer and not just an average user. Since switching from Android a few years back the volume settings are one of the most annoying parts of the iPhone. This just made it infinately worse

I’m having similar issues. My ringer volume will be an appropriate level, then I toggle it to quiet mode, and when I flick it off quiet the notifications are at max volume despite using the volume buttons on the side. I have to physically go back into the ringer settings to change it back down again. Sometimes if I’ve toggled on quiet mode, I can’t hear any audio in videos on social media, they’re silent even though I’ve unmuted them. It’s so annoying having to keep my phone on silent when the alternative is max volume and no in between
